Jess and Dan had a gorgeous late June summer wedding and I’m so excited to share their sneak peeks on the blog today! I’ve known Jess since she was a little girl (in fact, one of her bridesmaids is my sister!) so this wedding was extra special.
Jess and Dan met at Monmouth University, Dan’s sophomore year and Jess’ freshman year thorough a mutual friend. The two immediately became close friends, which became a solid foundation for their incredible relationship. Their wedding was inspired by various aspects of their interests and personalities – Jess told me Dan didn’t care about too much as long as he was allowed to wear his Star Wars cufflinks!! I loved capturing the gorgeous classic blush and ivory details that came together for the big day and some of the more emotional ones – like the memorial locket that Jess attached to her gorgeous bouquet to remember her sweet mother. It was so sad that she couldn’t be with these two to celebrate, but they both know she loved Dan and would be thrilled with the day they had!
My favorite part of the wedding day for these two was when I asked Jess & Dan to practice their first dance during portraits and out of no where Dan, who is pretty shy, picked up Jess and twirled her around!!! It was amazing!! Everything felt so natural and it was clear that they were having a wonderful time. It was extra sweet when he later twirled her around on the dance floor for their first dance as husband and wife!! Seriously a wonderful day all around!
