What a wedding to kick off my 2019 wedding season! Courtney and Jack were had a stunning romantic wedding at The Riverhouse at Rumson Country Club this May. After meeting at Clemson during a Senior Walk Bar Crawl, the two reconnected at a homecoming football game and Jack decided to ask Courtney out for real. Courtney told me after their first date, she knew her life had changed forever! Before they knew it, they were officially an item. Every year Courtney and Jack celebrated their anniversary with a photo at the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree – and on their five year anniversary, the two decided to take the day off of work to celebrate together. Courtney said all that she wanted to do was get their photo done but Jack had something else in mind! With the snow falling and during a surprise carriage ride through Central Park, Jack popped the question. Courtney and Jack celebrated their engagement with their families at the Tavern on the Green and began planning their spring wedding once the holidays finished!
This sweet couple knew they wanted their wedding venue to have water views. They fell in love with The Riverhouse at Rumson Country Club as soon as they drove up – knowing it felt like them and was filled with the views they desired. With inspiration from all around them, Courtney and Jack planned a classic wedding day filled with midnight blue and ivory details. While planning, the two made sure to include lots of nods to what makes them and their relationship special, including a custom Clemson Tiger themed cake topper! Courtney and Jack also took dance lessons so they had a fun choreographed routine for their first dance as husband and wife! Wait till you see their dip in the photos! Their whole day was definitely as fun as they are!
My favorite part of the day was when the Clemson Tiger came into the wedding reception and surprised Courtney and Jack! They had NO idea he was coming to their special day so it was a great way to celebrate with all their family and friends!! What was even more special was that it was Jack’s Uncle in the tiger suit (thanks to Jack’s dad who is also an alumni of the school!). What a fantastic way to end this incredible celebration! Courtney and Jack, thank you for letting me be a part of your special day – I wish you two the best in life and marriage!
