Mary and Joe have officially tied the knot! These high school sweethearts planned a beachy boho inspired wedding day at the beautiful Spring Lake Bath & Tennis Club last weekend. Let me tell you, it was absolutely beautiful! When I was chatting with Mary and Joe, they actually told me at one point they considered just doing a backyard BBQ instead of a wedding but they’re glad they went ahead and planned a traditional day! When thinking about their wedding, Mary and Joe knew that they wanted something simple and beautiful – and wanted to incorporate their love of the beach, so the Spring Lake Bath & Tennis Club turned out to be an ideal venue for their day!
Mary and Joe added personal details to really make their day their own. They focused on incorporating their dogs and not just in the photos! Their signature cocktails were named after their pups. How fun! One of their dogs even has the same birthday as their now wedding anniversary. Mary and Joe’s style was infused into the day even more through their laidback vibes and carefully chosen attire. Mary chose a beautiful, but simple gown and decided on some custom made flats for the day – the same ones she gifted her bridesmaids! She was right when saying the more you simplify your wedding day, the less stressful it will be! They were married on the deck at Spring Lake Bath and Tennis Club overlooking the ocean followed by an outdoor cocktail hour by the pool and a reception full of dancing and enjoying themselves with all their family and friends!
I loved getting to work with Mary and Joe for their portraits! Their style is so similar to mine and getting to capture their coastal boho chic day was so much fun!!! Mary had the most beautiful beachy bridal look – especially the flowers in her long beach waved hair.
