Congratulations, Taylor and Taylor!! I had an absolute blast photographing your gorgeous Rumson Country Club River House wedding day. When the newlyweds began planning, they knew that a summer wedding was the only option for them. They’re huge summer and beach people, so it was important that their celebration was held during the warm weather. July turned out to be the perfect option and Rumson Country Club River House was absolutely their vibe. Taylor and Taylor planned a simply stunning coastal wedding day and I can’t wait to share it with you!
Their Love Story
Taylor and Taylor have pretty much always been in each other’s lives. Taylor’s mom was Taylor’s art teacher for 4 years in Little Silver. Many years later, the two reconnected at a birthday party in 2020 in Seabright NJ… and the rest was history! Now, they’re married!! I love when couples have known each other their whole lives like this. It really makes their connection even more special.
Coastal Wedding Day at Rumson Country Club River House
From the start, Taylor and Taylor envisioned a wedding day that was whimsical and fun. With coastal accents everywhere throughout their day, I think they achieved a truly stunning combination of that fun and coastal elegance that they were going for. They chose a blue, green, and white color palette that perfectly accented Rumson Country Club River House. I loved the little coastal details – like their DIY decoupage oyster shells for their reception escort cards – that brought that elevated elegance to life.
Taylor carried a bouquet of light blue delphiniums, white sweet peas, thistle and, greenery, while her bridesmaids carried white lilies in their mismatched blue and white gowns. I think she looked amazing all day long – and I love that Taylor’s boutonniere echoed her bouquet with its colors and flowers. Those little details really go a long way in bringing the design of your wedding day together. More blue and white flowers decorated the arbor for their waterfront ceremony and the inside of Rumson Country Club River House for their reception. But, perhaps my favorite part of their entire day was that one of Taylor’s bridesmaids is a pastry chef and MADE their wedding cake! It was stunning!!
When I asked Taylor and Taylor what their advice would be for other couples planning their wedding days, they told me “Enjoy being engaged but get as much planned and out of the way in the beginning as possible – at least the big stuff!”. I have to agree with them – and you can see how getting your wedding day planned early on can lead to a truly gorgeous celebration!
Congratulations again, Taylor and Taylor! I’m so happy for you both!
