As the cherry blossoms begin to bloom and we finally trade our winter coats for spring layers, my mind is actually drifting back to the cozy, rich textures of December. While the rest of the world is looking toward summer, my 2026 and 2027 brides are right in the thick of planning their own winter wedding.
If you’ve been dreaming of a celebration that feels more like a private, festive party than a stiff tradition, Callie and Rob’s Crystal Point Yacht Club wedding is the ultimate blueprint. From their deep hunter green and burgundy palette to the way they prioritized family (including their adorable son, Jordan!), this day was a masterclass in making a wedding feel like “us.”

A Modern New Jersey Love Story
Callie and Rob’s journey began with a “swipe right” on Bumble and a game of “twenty questions” that laid the foundation for everything to come. From those early dates at MJ’s to building a life together in Tinton Falls, their connection was instant.
2024 was a whirlwind year for the couple. Between a surprise proposal during a baby announcement photoshoot and welcoming their beautiful son, Jordan, in October, life has been a beautiful series of milestones. Their winter wedding at Crystal Point was the perfect way to cap off a year of incredible growth.

Festive Greenery & Meaningful Winter Wedding Details
For their December date, Callie and Rob leaned into a winter wedding color palette of Hunter Green and Burgundy. This choice brought a rich, sophisticated warmth to the waterfront ballroom without feeling over-the-top “Christmas.”
The couple infused their personality into every corner of the Crystal Point reception:
- The “Table of Love”: A touching tribute to loved ones who have passed, keeping their memory close.
- Sentimental Seating: Instead of standard numbers, their table names featured places that held significant meaning in their relationship. A great way to share their story with guests.
- Signature Sips: A self-serve IPA station (a favorite of Rob’s!) ensured the “fun” started the moment guests walked in.
- The “Private” Cake Cutting: Breaking away from tradition, the couple chose a quiet, unannounced cake cutting. A perfect “us” moment in the middle of a big party.

Navigating Family Formals with Grace
As a professional wedding photographer, I know that family dynamics can sometimes be the most stressful part of the day. For Callie and Rob, we prioritized a quick, efficient family portrait session at Crystal Point.
We navigated the schedule to ensure both sides of the family felt honored and comfortable, allowing the couple to get back to their cocktail hour as fast as possible. The highlight of the portraits was undoubtedly their son, Jordan. Incorporating him into the “First Look” and formal photos added a layer of sweetness that truly defined the “us” in their wedding day.

Planning a 2026 Winter Wedding? Here is what you should be doing in April:
If Callie and Rob’s day has you dreaming of a December “I do,” now is the time to take action!
- Lock in your Venue: Popular waterfront spots like Crystal Point fill up fast for December dates. If you want those sunset harbor views, now is the time to tour.
- Finalize Your Palette: April is the perfect time to order your invitation samples. Look at how Callie and Rob’s hunter green and burgundy popped against the winter light. Rich jewel tones are a winter bride’s best friend.
- Book Your Live Entertainment: If you want a high-energy dance floor like the one Jellyroll Band provided, start those inquiries now. The best bands are often booked 12-18 months in advance!

To Callie & Rob:
It was such an honor to document this chapter of your story. From the quiet morning prep to the “private” cake cutting, your wedding was the perfect reflection of the life you’ve built together. May your next chapter (and that mystery honeymoon!) be just as full of laughter as your wedding day.
