Elegant Fall Wedding at the Apawamis Club

Their Love Story

Annie and Andy met while they were at Williams College – a year apart. On a bus ride to Fenway Park, Andy was telling jokes and kept trying to get Annie to join in. After the game, they rode back together – sharing dessert, not knowing it would be the start of something big for them both. Shortly after, Annie and Andy began dating and continued to do so their entire time at Williams College. After graduation, both moved to NYC and their love story continued in the Big Apple, alongside their sheepadoodle, Hoxsey.

Rye NY Wedding Day

From the moment I arrived, Annie’s energy set the tone for the day. She radiated happiness, her excitement evident in every smile and gesture. She was the most beautiful elegant bride in a strapless gown with beautiful detailing and an equally gorgeous classic updo. Andy, equally elated, had drawn a whimsical rendition of Annie’s wedding dress on a card—a heartfelt gesture that spoke volumes about their playful connection. It was so sweet and made Annie smile!

But it wasn’t just Annie and Andy who stole the show. Their beloved sheepadoodle,’s presence was felt in every aspect of the day – even if he couldn’t be with them at the venue. From adorning invitations to gracing signage and even Andy’s shoes with his sweet face, their furry friend was a cherished part of their celebration. I absolutely loved every time I looked and saw another way he’d been included!

Fall Wedding Ceremony

After a sweet first look and portraits around the Apawamis Club, it was time for their ceremony. Annie and Andy’s ceremony, officiated by Annie’s sister, was filled with heartfelt moments and laughter. As they exchanged vows and rings, surrounded by their nearest and dearest, it was clear that something special had happened. Annie and Andy kept the ceremony decor simple – autumnal flowers behind them, otherwise leaning on the gorgeous spot at the golf club along with the setting sun for ambiance.

Reception at the Apawamis Club

Annie and Andy chose to have their reception under a tent on the lawn at the Apawamis Club and it was so beautiful! Everywhere you looked were gold chairs and autumn flowers – the most perfect colors. As the sun set and the festivities continued into the night, the dance floor came alive with the sounds of a big band and the joyful laughter of friends and family. Even the youngest guests, Annie and Andy’s nieces and nephews, joined in the celebration, their laughter echoing across the lawn. I stole Annie and Andy away for a few last portraits at sunset, a quiet moment together before the rest of the fun!
