Brooke and Tyler are married! This fall, they tied the knot in a sentimental and romantic wedding day in Cape May NJ. Their wedding day was small and intimate, focusing on the meaningful location and the people who came to support Brooke and Tyler in this new chapter of life together. I feel so lucky to have been a small part of their celebration!

Intimate Cape May Wedding
The intimate wedding on the beach that Brooke and Tyler planned was not originally what they had in mind. When they began wedding planning, they started a more traditional big wedding and quickly realized it didn’t feel right to them. Instead, they pivoted to an intimate Cape May wedding. Their day that focused on what felt most important to them: a special place and 25 of their loved ones. It wound up being such a beautiful day! I’m so happy that Brooke and Tyler trusted their gut to plan a day that felt most like them.
Brooke and Tyler chose to have their wedding day in Margate because it holds a very special place in Brooke’s heart and family. They have traveled to this particular home and spot on the beach because it was where her grandmother grew up. The house itself has been in their family since 1936. Brooke shared that some of her favorite childhood memories were here. Naturally, Tyler loved the spot immediately after his first trip there and it just felt right to have their wedding day there.

Coastal Inspired Wedding on the Beach
Since it was a beach wedding, Brooke and Tyler wanted to lean into the beachy color palette, selecting light blue, white and blush as our wedding colors. The natural elements of their oceanfront wedding were accented with floral details on the guys’ ties, the flower girls’ dresses and blue and white bowties for their dogs. Brooke and her family actually DIY’d their bouquets – and I have to say, they were incredible! Just the right pop of color against the incredible spot on the beach they chose to say “I do”.

After their ceremony on the beach, Brooke, Tyler, and I spent more time on the beach capturing additional portraits of them with their families and their dogs (who were so well-behaved!). We were lucky to have a gorgeous sunset to end their wedding day – and we captured a few quick portraits of them on the balcony of the restaurant they chose to have dinner at after the formalities.

Brooke and Tyler, your wedding day was beautiful – and a wonderful reminder to all couples – to choose the day that feels most right for you. This celebration is about your love story. I love how deeply personal every aspect of your wedding day felt and it was an honor to be a part of your intimate celebration this fall! Congratulations again!
