Kate and Matt’s gorgeous June wedding was a great way to kick off the summer! This stunning personality infused wedding was filled with incredible greens, purple and white florals and hints of Colorado throughout the day.
Kate and Matt met in college at Philadelphia University. After meeting at a party, the two lost touch for a few years before Kate reached out to him to see how he was. Their first “date” was at a bar down the street from our school where they’d go every Wednesday for wing night. Not long after, Kate moved to Arizona and the two dated long distance for TWO YEARS until Matt moved to Colorado!!!
When it came to planning their wedding, Kate envisioned lots of greenery since the river has so much greenery in June. The two told me they would have loved a Colorado wedding so we plan on bringing some of that into the wedding. Their venue the Centre Bridge Inn is a working bed and breakfast, so they didn’t want to overdo it with the decorations! They pulled off an incredibly beautiful reception with geometric vases, greenery and eucalyptus flowers. Kate and Matt’s wedding day was chalked full of work by amazing local vendors including the earrings she gave her bridesmaids, her beautiful gown and her cake was even made by a good friend! At the reception, the two had ice cream from Penn State creamery (who doesn’t like ice cream?!) and Boulder Kettle Chips as a party favor because they love them so much!
My favorite part of this wedding was seeing Kate’s family and friends again because I photographed Kate’s brothers wedding 2 years ago and it was such a blast!! From the moment I arrived with Kate opening the door brushing her teeth- she was as calm as could be! Matt teared as she walked down the aisle and everyone cried when Kate (the baby of her family) danced with her dad (including myself). Also, can we talk about how both Matt & Kate’s grandma’s were the flower girls?! So sweet!! This day was incredible start to finish!
