Julia and Adam had the most gorgeous Navesink Country Club wedding this October and I am so glad I could be there to capture the start of their marriage. These two planned a fun, romantic wedding day full of the perfect cream and gold details. I can’t wait for you to see it!
The Couple
The newlyweds met a few years ago in Charleston, SC by accident while out with friends. Once the two began talking, they quickly found out that they had a ton in common. The night ended and it was a few more weeks until they saw each other again. While out again with some friends, they decided to exchange Snapchat usernames and began talking more through Snapchat. Adam wound up deploying for a few months shortly after that and while away, they started to text “for real”.
Despite being apart, Julia and Adam jokingly planned a joint birthday party with a party bus for when he returned. After Adam returned home, they wound up going to see a band play at the country fair. They secretly planned to return the next day and Julia was shocked when Adam actually made plans to come back with her the next day to ride everything the fair had to offer. It wasn’t much longer before they started doing everything together (and yes, the party bus birthday party did happen)!!
The Proposal
Over Labor Day, Julia and Adam were heading away to Austin for the weekend. It’s one of their favorite cities so they were both excited! After seeing some friends and getting settled in, the two were going to do some sightseeing and shopping. On the way, Adam insisted on taking an Uber to the park they were going to since it was “too hot outside”. He wanted to take Julia to a hilltop a friend had told him about (or so she thought!).
After they arrived, they were looking around and Julia was snapping some photos of the huge map of Texas atop the hill. Adam started talking about how special Austin was to them since it had been the first place they’d really traveled together, and who would have thought they’d wind up living in Texas and he proposed! Julia said that she was actually so excited (and confused) she interrupted him and asked what he was doing! She was so happy and even put the ring on herself, which she laughed about afterwards! The two celebrated the rest of their trip and began talking about their dream wedding!
Navesink Country Club Wedding
Julia and Adam planned a gorgeous romantic and traditional wedding. Their ceremony was held in the gorgeous Nativity Church before their Navesink Country Club reception. The wedding was black tie optional and filled with so many beautiful details. The bridesmaids wore gorgeous burgundy colored gowns, balancing the light ivory and cream Julia and Adam chose. They really rocked the fall wedding tones!!
It was clear that Julia and Adam wanted their wedding day to be super fun for their guests. They chose to have a live band and photo booth, which really kept the energy up for everyone in the room! They told me they wanted their guests to enjoy and not have a care in the world, I totally think they succeeded on that. Everyone there was so happy to celebrate the happy couple! Julia and Adam really made their wedding day their own. Little things like the bow Julia had always envisioned on her wedding dress and a dessert bar filled with Duck Donuts really made their day come alive.
Congratulations Julia and Adam! Your wedding day was beautiful and I’m so happy I was able to be there to capture these moments for you!
