Congratulations, Danielle and Perry! I had the absolute joy of photographing this vibrant and fun summer wedding day at Park Loft in Oceanport NJ for the sweetest couple. Danielle and Perry wanted a wedding day that would celebrate their love of summer and their hometown, all with a modern vibe.
Their Love Story
Perry grew up in Shrewsbury and Danielle grew up in Little Silver – which is an area with two connecting towns that filter into the same high school. They started out as great friends in high school and continued to remain close throughout college years. Danielle even went to a frat date party with Perry one year at his college. Perry was also kind enough to pick Danielle up from her college a few times and drive her home for holidays. As you can tell, they were there for each other. But, one NYE, they shared a kiss (as friends) and suddenly realized things weren’t so friends-only anymore.
That new year’s kiss led to sparks that never left and they later fell in love. Ironically Danielle’s brother and Perry’s sister are best friends and went to the same college and lived together after college for many years, so there was always a good chance they’d have been in each other’s lives for years. What’s really beautiful is that their families have always had a close connection from both sets of friendships over the years. So their love story has really been something powerful and special for everyone!
New Jersey Wedding at Park Loft
Danielle and Perry held a traditional church ceremony at The Church of the Nativity before taking the trolley to Park Loft. When Danielle and Perry began searching for wedding venues, they wanted something “different” and fell in love with Park Loft’s rustic modern vibes. In fact, it was the only venue that they looked at because they loved it so much right away! Oceanport is right in their backyard, making it an even more special location for Danielle and Perry’s love story!
Danielle and Perry really made this “blank slate” venue into their own, with bright colors of fuschia, pink, and oranges throughout the decor – and bridesmaids’ bouquets. Her bridesmaids also wore mismatched gowns in the colors and they looked amazing!! Danielle’s dress even had summery vibes featuring big flowers printed in lace! So beautiful.
The rest of the night was spent celebrating with their loved ones! Danielle and Perry created even more fun DIY details, like their disco ball filled with flowers and their signature drink signs. Everything was amazing, so much fun, and bright and joyful- like Danielle and Perry! Congratulations again, you two! I’m so happy for you!!
