As a New Jersey wedding photographer, I’ve had the honor of capturing countless beautiful moments, but there’s something especially heartwarming about a wedding that truly speaks to the couple’s love and personalities. Ryan and Casey’s wedding at the Venetian wedding day was a perfect combination of timeless elegance and romance.
Their Love Story
Ryan and Casey fell in love during the challenging year of 2020. Introduced by a mutual friend, Ana, it was love at first sight. From that moment on, they became inseparable, finding comfort and joy in each other’s company—whether it was laughing together, watching TV shows, or spending time with friends and family. Though Casey says she wasn’t one of the girls that dreamed of her wedding day, her excitement for the day grew as she dove deeper into the details. Their wedding is a beautiful blend of her Italian family and Ryan’s Irish-Catholic family – both of whom love these two so very much!
Romantic Wedding at the Venetian in NJ
When I asked to describe their wedding day in three words, Casey and Ryan chose timeless, elegant, and romantic. They envisioned a wedding that reflected their classic and traditional tastes and I think they nailed it! Their neutral color scheme—ivory flowers and bridesmaids in dark brown—complemented the elegant theme perfectly. The off-white and gold invitations, featuring black lettering, echoed the timeless elegance they wanted to achieve for their big day.
A Family & Tradition Focused Wedding Day
Inspiration for the wedding came from Casey’s mom, who helped keep everything grounded in tradition. Being the only daughter in an Italian family, Casey’s parents had been eagerly anticipating the day their daughter would marry. With Ryan’s large Irish Catholic family also eager to contribute, the couple was excited to bring their families together for this special day. One of the most personal touches was the jewelry from Casey’s grandmother, who had passed away. It was a way to honor her legacy while making the day even more special.
Garfield NJ Wedding Celebration
We planned Casey and Ryan’s first look and portraits at the scenic Hoboken waterfront and the iconic Hoboken Lackawanna Train Terminal. With the city skyline as their backdrop, these locations provided the perfect setting for capturing intimate moments between the couple!
Afterwards, Casey and Ryan met their guests for a traditional wedding ceremony at St. Ann Roman Catholic Church. The Venetian in Garfield, NJ, served as the reception venue, where the couple and their guests celebrated into the night. A special surprise mother/daughter dance was planned and it was the perfect fun touch to an emotional but beautiful day!
