Leslie and Ian have officially tied the knot! These two were married at Shan-Gri-La Farm, Leslie’s Grandmom’s farm and it was so much fun! Leslie and Ian are such laid-back people who just want to have a good time and their wedding day definitely matched their personalities. The newlyweds met while participating in The D10, an athletic charity event. Although the event itself happens one day in the summer, Leslie and Ian connected during a running workout. Before they knew it, their relationship blossomed and they were planning their perfect summer wedding!
When I asked Leslie and Ian what the theme of the day would be, they told me they just wanted it to be fun, relaxed, and beautiful. I’m telling you, they definitely created the perfect day then! Their summer wedding was full of red, pink, and lavender details as well as some beautiful travel inspired decor and the aviation details were inspired by one of their family members.
The day started off with Leslie and Ian getting ready for their big day. Leslie looked absolutely beautiful in her Pronovias gown (with a detachable tulle skirt which she took off for the party)!! After getting ready, the two met for their first look at Moravian Tile Works, down the street from the farm. It was so sweet!!! Then we headed to the ceremony… in a HELICOPTER! It’s not often you can say you get to ride in a helicopter on a wedding day! I’ve been a boat a few times on wedding days but flying in by helicopter was definitely a first. Only a few of their guests knew so it was a surprise to most guests when we circled around the farm and landed.
Is it any surprise that my favorite part of the day was their helicopter ride to the ceremony?! I was a little nervous at first but it ended up being so exciting! They definitely surprised all of their guests! It was amazing!!! I’m so happy that they let me ride along and what a special way to celebrate their big day! Congratulations again, Leslie and Ian! Your day was perfect and I loved being a part of it!
