September has already been filled with such beautiful weddings – I feel so lucky every single day that this is my job! Alicia and Michael met while attending Rowan University and reconnected a few years later over a craft beer at Kane Brewery. Their relationship continued to grow through trivia nights, glasses of wine, and before they knew it, they began to plan their stunning fall wedding at the English Manor!
Alicia told me that when they walked into the English Manor, they just KNEW it was the spot they had to have their wedding day. Their elegant day was filled with purple and navy blue details, creating a warm and intimate feel to their celebration. And their wedding bouquets? Lavender roses and white dahlias – so, so perfect! I absolutely love that they had a craft beer station with a sign telling their guests “It all started with a beer” to celebrate their first date and start to their relationship! Their day was absolutely wonderful from start to finish and when I asked Alicia why that was or what she might tell other brides, she told me “…to not sweat the small stuff. Worrying about every little detail can make the process too overwhelming” and I totally agree!
My favorite part of their day was simply being a part of it! I use to work with Alicia and getting to photograph a friend of mine’s wedding was amazing! A bonus was they were married in the church that I grew up going to for my school years- I actually use to be an altar girl at the church so it was surreal to be photographing a wedding many years later. Talk about a full circle moment! The day was just wonderful because neither Alicia or Mike were stressed or nervous, they were both just excited to get married! Being able to capture a couple so in love and happy about their wedding day makes my job so easy!! Enjoy some of my favorites from their September wedding!
