Maggie and Stephen are married! Their gorgeous Apawamis Club wedding day was the perfect combination of traditional and unique. It was a truly beautiful day that I am honored to have been a part of and I can’t wait for you to see all of the gorgeousness they created for their special day at Apawamis Club!
The Couple
These two actually met because Maggie’s sister asked Stephen to keep an eye on her as she adjusted to college at Holy Cross! Who would have thought they’d be married after an introduction like that? Turns out Stephen did keep a very close eye on Maggie! Maggie told me that although it seemed like the relationship shouldn’t have worked out, the two became inseparable. Stephen was a senior while Maggie was a freshman but they made it work! They quickly fell in love and realized they’d be together forever. The two stayed together for Maggie’s last years of school – splitting weekends between Boston and Worcester. After graduation, Maggie moved to Boston joining Stephen in his hometown. It wasn’t long until it was time to start planning their gorgeous summer wedding!
Apawamis Club Wedding
When it became time to think about where to have their wedding, Apawamis Club was a no brainer. Maggie is the third generation at the country club. She basically grew up spending time there with family and friends. The two envisioned a day that was romantic, memorable, and dramatic… and they definitely nailed that! Their cocktail hour was actually after the 9th hole at the halfway house at Apawamis Club, something that had never been done before. So cool!! Some of the guests even took golf carts back and forth (including us!).
Thanks to the vision of their amazing florist, NAME, plus some extra inspiration from Instagram and blogs Maggie and Stephen looked at, they decided to tent the terrace at the club for their reception. It meant they could keep their whole night outside instead of in the ballroom…. a perfect idea for a summer wedding!
Honestly, this entire wedding day was one for the books. My favorite part of the day has to just be the sheer emotion that covered every moment of the day. favorite part- was all of the emotion of the day! Maggie was in tears, albeit happy tears, all day long! Everyone that attended their day was just so happy for them – and cheered in the church when they were announced as husband and wife!! Another favorite (and perfect, if you ask me!) moment was their first dance. They decided to use “Can’t Take My Eyes Off Of You” by Frankie Valli. Uh, YES! I absolutely love him and have seen him in concert 4 times so you know I was all about that!!!
Congratulations again Stephen and Maggie! Your day was unique and definitely memorable. I loved being a part of your story!
