Katie and Bob are married! In September, on a beautiful windy day on the Jersey Shore, they became husband and wife. Their Spring Lake Bath & Tennis Club wedding day was inspired by their love of the beach and this gorgeous venue’s incredible options. From the beginning, Katie knew that she wanted their wedding day to feel classic and yet super fun – which is why you’ll see some really neat elements, like their disco balls in the tent! Their Love Story

Katie and Bob met 6 years ago at JMU and were basically inseparable from the moment they started dating. For the last two years, they’ve started their life together – with their dog Dolley – and enjoy traveling together. It’s been a wonderful few years but they were so ready to become husband and wife in the fall!

Chic Jersey Shore Wedding Day

When I think back on this fall Jersey Shore wedding, the first word that comes to mind is “chic”. Katie’s bridesmaids wore sleek long white dresses and her bridal look was incredible! My favorite detail had to be her sheer gloves. She wore them for sunset portraits and the reception – a super fun addition to her wedding gown for the evening!

Before the big party, Katie and Bob exchanged their vows in an intimate ceremony at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, an absolutely adorable little white chapel in Manasquan NJ! It was absolutely perfect. Before heading to Spring Lake, Katie and Bob were up for portraits on the beach. I always love the chance to stick my toes in the sand on a wedding day!

Afterwards, it was time for the reception at Spring Lake! Katie and Bob knew this was the perfect venue for them early on and were thrilled that they had the date they wanted open. It was almost a full year since their engagement date – plus right around Bob’s birthday! Amazing option for their Friday wedding and weekend wedding events.

Katie and Bob kept their color scheme of dusty blue, white, and greens classic in the space at their venue. Most of the decor was white with other accents and it looked incredible! The newlyweds were inspired by the idea of a fancy party to celebrate with loved ones. Their reception flowed between the ballroom and outdoors, with a gorgeous white tent with silver disco balls hanging from the ceiling – and out along the pool- to keep the party going throughout the night. Everything truly felt like the perfect combination of classic vibes with exciting twists. I personally loved their champagne tower and the cute cocktail napkins featuring their dog, Dolley (named after James Madison’s wife).
